 PROBABILISTIC FAULT DISPLACEMENT

HAZARD ASSESSMENT (PFDHA)

  • Development of a V&V software to conduct Probabilistic Fault Displacement Hazard (IAEA, safety report n85) where active and capable faults are identified in the near regional scale

  • Accounting for (1) both primary and secondary faulting (2) epistemic and aleatory variability and (3) complex fault geometries

  • Handling complex logic-tree to capture Center Body and Range

  • Investigating the key parameters controlling the hazard variability in terms of annual probability exceedance

RISK AND VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT

Our team offers seismic risk assessment services for the conception of risk management solutions tailored

to the specificities of our client’s assets exposed to seismic hazard.

The services include the vulnerability assessment of buildings, of pipelines and elements at risk, the quantification of risk through losses parameters and the definition of risk mitigation and reinforcement solutions based on cost/benefit analysis.

Our methodologies have been applied for a variety of assets from the scale of individual building, to the scale of cities and countries. Our team and partners combine skills from various disciplines: Seismology, engineering seismology, seismic monitoring, seismic hazard, vulnerability diagnosis, structural damages and losses assessment, seismic risk, seismic measurements and retrofitting solutions.

DSHA and PFDHA calculations using complex logic-trees.
